Global Construction Site Safety and PPE Estimator

Plan a construction-site inventory for personal protective equipment, perimeter warnings, excavation barriers, first aid and hot work. The FRELUX estimator uses a transparent set of user-entered quantities and assumptions, with OSHA construction, UK HSE/CDM and ISO 7010 references available for context.

How the planning quantities work

Enter the active crew, site perimeter, warning-sign spacing, reserve PPE and the hazards present. Counts are calculated from those inputs. Excavation barriers and signs appear only when excavation is selected; fall-control worker counts appear only when you identify a fall risk; hot-work extinguisher quantities are entered from the site's own assessment.

Framework references are not a compliance verdict

OSHA 29 CFR 1926, UK HSE/CDM guidance and ISO 7010 cover different duties and sign systems. The estimator does not substitute a fixed worker-per-kit ratio or a universal height threshold for site assessment. OSHA fall protection applies to specified tasks and situations; UK work-at-height duties are risk-based; ISO 7010 describes registered safety sign symbols. Confirm current local law, adopted standards and site-specific requirements with a competent professional.

What this tool does not do

This is a material-planning aid, not a risk assessment, method statement, safety plan, legal interpretation or certificate. It does not inspect the site, select fall-protection systems, validate sign visibility, determine first-aid contents, or replace emergency and rescue planning. Do not use a generated quantity as permission to work.

Frequently asked questions

Does it prove my site is compliant?

No. It organizes user-entered planning quantities. A competent local safety professional must evaluate hazards, controls, training, access and emergency arrangements.

Why are the ratios editable?

Because kit requirements, sign spacing and hazard controls depend on the project and governing jurisdiction. The tool avoids presenting illustrative planning values as law.

Can I export the inventory?

Yes. Download the current allocation as a CSV for review alongside your site-specific safety documentation.
