International Building Code Reference

FRELUX maps a construction project to the building code family, edition and technical standards that govern it, for nine supported jurisdictions: the EN Eurocodes with their national annexes, the United Kingdom's Building Regulations and British Standards, the International Building Code and International Residential Code, Canada's National Building Code, Australia's National Construction Code, the Nigerian National Building Code, Kenyan building standards, South African National Standards (SANS) and UAE emirate regulations.

What the reference engine covers

What it deliberately does not do

The engine names documents and their scope. It does not produce or copy design values: no concrete mix ratio, reinforcement spacing, load combination or safety factor is generated, and no parameter is transferred from one country's code to another. Where a jurisdiction does not codify a domain — snow loading in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and the UAE, for example — the domain is reported as not codified instead of being filled from another country's standard.

Unsupported regulations and professional review

Every reference is marked either as confirmed or as requiring local verification, and page-level warnings identify code families that are not adopted in the selected country, editions that are superseded, and building types outside a code's scope. Structural design always requires review by a qualified, licensed professional in the project country. FRELUX does not grant or imply municipal approval or guaranteed code compliance.
